About

I’m Kristina, a multidisciplinary artist, writer, poet, independent publisher, and endlessly curious collector of stories, symbols, and ideas. thewulfmama is home to the things I make, the questions I can’t leave alone, and the many directions my mind likes to wander.

I work across collage, illustration, poetry, essays, short stories, zines, and experimental publishing. I’m a conceptual thinker and cultural curator, drawn to connections between seemingly unrelated things.

I’m a queer woman, neurodivergent feminist, a mother, a graduate student of psychology, counseling play and art therapy, and a lifelong learner. My work explores identity, autonomy, care, power, belonging, and the stories we inherit from family, religion, and culture. I’m interested in what happens when we begin questioning those stories and deciding for ourselves what to keep.

Motherhood, grief, illness, pleasure, nostalgia, sexuality, and spirituality run through my work. I’m drawn to the strange, sentimental, unsettling, and overlooked: horror and folklore, complicated women, unconventional beauty and women’s stories whether on television, in books or anywhere else they can be told.

Tarot, mythology, archetypes, ritual, and witchcraft are part of my creative and reflective practice. I’m fascinated by the intersections of psychology, science, symbolism, and the ways people make meaning.

I also love lists, systems, patterns, and finding gentler ways to navigate everyday life. I’m interested in creating space for different minds, changing bodies, unfinished projects, and lives that aren’t measured by productivity or conformity.

Here you’ll find essays, poetry, stories, collage, illustrations, tarot-inspired explorations, cultural observations, and creative experiments. Some pieces will become books or zines. Others will simply exist to be found one day and completed by someone else because I don’t believe the only value in art is a finished sellable product.

I want this to be a place of curiosity, joy, pleasure and radical softness. You are safe here.

Welcome to thewulfmama.
